After graduating from UNC Greensboro in 2010 Ryan Heisey won the North Carolina Amateur, receiving the title of state champion. That same year he also was named the North Carolina Amateur Match Play Runner-Up. In 2011 he moved to Long Beach, California to pursue a professional golf career. Heisey qualified and played on both the Gateway Tour and Golden State Tour 3 seasons before making his first WEB.COM Tour Q-School debut in 2013.
